In the face of superior force, the British pulled off a crushing defeat, even with the absence of an HQ unit which effectively gave them only a choice of 3 orders per turn the British tanks formed a fast moving column moving swiftly along the road and destroying the German right flank.
The Afrika Korps simply had no reply. The final push stalled briefly as disabled units blocked the road and the Luftwaffe strafed the road, but it was to no avail. A humiliating defeat for the Germans as they began the battle with all expectation of winning the battle easily. The Afrika Korps has now been pushed right back to Tripoli. In response the German high command has sent reinforcements including the new Tiger tank.
